In this episode, I wanted to share my thoughts on what an investor really wants to see in your pitch presentation. #pitchdeck …

  1. Definitely agree with all your points. I'd be really interested and grateful to get your thoughts on some of my 'tweaks' to what you said…see below;
On the 1st slide…I always advise that clients put their ask and contact details on this slide as well…along with stuff like SEIS/EIS (I'm in the UK)
With slide 2…I always encourage quantification of the problem
Slide 4…I think the key is to drill down from the overall TAM to the SOM
Slide 5…I split traction to date and future road map into 2 seperate slides
Slide 6…100% agree with what you say about business model…but I think another slide setting fwd mkt entry/customer procurement strategy is as important

Finally I like to see a final slide on investor exit…a slide 9

    Great video though!

  2. Amazing video, after 13 minutes I felt confident enough to go into the Dragons Den without a slideshow and freestyle it!

Really helpful and in depth, thank you!

  3. Amazing video and thank you for breaking it down!! Despite the economic downturn, I'm so happy have been earning $ 60,000 returns from my $7,000 investment every 12days..

  4. 1. Opening slide needs good branding and one-liner.
    2. Sell the problem first
    3. Then tell the solution
    4. Market opportunity w CAGR
    5. Traction: proof of growth e.g. timeline
    6. Business model/case
    7. Team: is your team THE team to run this startup
    8. Your ask to the investor

  5. I am new to the stock market. Every stock that I bought so far, I was out of luck because I bought them when they were expensive. I feel I missed out on all the stock opportunities so far for the tech stocks.I believe having 175K yearly income would be a good investment so I want to plug all my savings into the stock market. I know this sounds a bit dull but I would like to know if I should learn investing or let somebody else (more capable like a FA) do it for me? Please share your thoughts. I am kind of tired of searching for a good stock to buy and losing all the good opportunities..
