What Investing $5 a Day Looks Like After 1 Year (Robinhood Portfolio)

Over the last year I decided to invest $5 a day into an S&P 500 fund and another $5 a day into Ethereum using the Robinhood …

  1. DCA is only a positive if you are buying on the way down though. It's mitigating both loss AND profit. You also diminish and slow your gains if you are using DCA on the way up. If you had the $1800 up front, you would gain more in a good year than if you DCA that same $1800 over the year.

  2. Robin hood sadly is only in America, but since your content hits international platform.
Those non HOOD ppl should still take note on what you do and (try to) incorp that to their own invest platforms.
Oz coffee is about $8 a cup now..

  3. still so upset about ethereum cause i was looking at it and trying to buy it when I saw gambling youtubers using it everywhere. I was 17 then and ethereum was around 70$ a piece i think, but i couldnt buy it when i was under 18.

  4. I like that about robinhood the fractional stock purchases, I have the chunk of my stocks in a JPM stock portfolio but since it limits you to full stock purchases it can get pretty pricey! But I have my Roth IRA through robinhood so maybe I’ll do $5 a day for that in a mix of ETFS, REITs and stocks

  5. Robinhood looks better in dark theme mode but congrats on your investing I am going to take your advice I get Starbucks two three times a day

  6. The stock market is a complex system that is influenced by a variety of factors, including economic indicators, political events, and global trends. The relationship between policies and the stock market can be complex and multifaceted, and it can take time for the full effects of policies to be reflected in market trends. Therefore, it is possible that policies implemented in the past may have a "lagged effect" on the stock market, as their full impact may not be felt until later on.

  7. I do something similar to this but simple for me… and that is Acorns, round-up feature, that rounds the change of charges from all my linked accounts to the nearest dollar, then one that bucket hits $5 and invests it.. plus I do a 10-15 weekly.. so end up investing 100-200 per month in a moderate risk ETF… over the past few years up to a few thousand saved up with net gain of 100 as of today.

  8. Hahahahahaha….. I've had VOO for a while and I can tell you it's very good. I put in about $500. a month. It's been a great ride and I'm actually looking long term on this fund. Thanks
